Andrea Prati
Team Leader

Andrea Prati graduated in Computer Engineering at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in 1998. He got his PhD in Information Engineering in 2002 from the same University. In 2013 he has been promoted to full professorship, waiting for official hiring in the new position. In December 2015 he moved to the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Parma.

To date 17 Feb. 2016, his H-index on Google Scholar is 30, with a total of 5440 citations. On Scopus, his H-index is 18, with a total of 2540 citations.

Andrea Prati is Senior Member of IEEEFellow of IAPR ("For contributions to low- and high-level algorithms for video surveillance"), and member of GIRPR.

Federico Magliani
PhD student

Federico Magliani graduated in Computer Engineering at the University of Parma in 2016.

Where he is following a PhD course and he is working on Landmark Recognition, focusing on large-scale retrieval.

He worked with Bridgestone on a project called "Detection of cracks in the tires under effort".

He also visited for 5 months the Insight Center for Data Analytics, a research lab of DCU (Dublin City University) under the supervision of the Assistant Professor Kevin McGuinness.

He worked as a reviewer for the scientific community (WACV, BMVC).

Luca Donati
PhD student

Luca Donati graduated in Computer Engineering at the University of Parma in 2011. He has been working for years in the industry. Now he works as a programmer and a researcher at IMP, while following a PhD course at the University of Parma.

His principal research interest are algorithms, computer vision and machine learning.

Eleonora Iotti
Research fellow

Eleonora Iotti graduated in Mathematics (M.Sc.) at the University of Parma in 2014, and in Mathematics and Computer Science (B.Sc.) at the same University in 2011.
Currently, she is a Ph.D. candidate in Information Technologies at the University of Parma, Department of Engineering and Architecture.

Leonardo graduated in in Computer Engineering at the University of Parma in 2018.
He worked at CERN as Invenio core developer and collaborated with Zenodo team.
His currently collaborating with Adidas applying Deep Learning techniques to extract product features.

Akbar Karimi
PhD student
Akbar Karimi did his bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering at Azad University of Zanjan and his master's at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS), Zanjan, Iran. In his master's thesis, he worked on Parallel Sentence Extraction from Comparable Corpora using Statistical Machine Translation. He graduated in 2017.
He is currently a PhD student at the University of Parma, working on a Sentiment Analysis project funded by Adidas under the supervision of Prof. Andrea Prati.
